2022 GENERAL ELECTION
VOTER GUIDE
 

The 2022 General Election will be held on November 8th and features contests in the 7th and 10th Congressional Districts as well as mayoral and town council races for Dumfries, Haymarket, Occoquan, and Quantico.

EARLY VOTING

Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Weekdays: Open Monday-Friday

Weekends: Open only Saturday, Oct. 29, Sunday, Oct. 30, & Saturday Nov. 5

 

Locations Open Starting Friday, September 23 until Saturday, November 5

Locations Open Starting Tuesday, October 25th until Saturday, November 5

VOTE BY MAIL

Apply online or download the application to email, mail, fax, or drop off your application.

Deadline to Apply:

Friday, October 28 at 5:00 pm

Return Your Ballot:

In person -  By November 8 at 7:00 pm at any polling place or the Office of Elections (or any early voting location during the early voting period)

By mail -  Postmarked by Tuesday, November 8 and received by Monday, November 14 at 12:00 pm

REGISTRATION

Register online here or download a voter registration form to mail your registration.

Deadline:

Monday, October 17, 2022

Same-Day Registration (*new*):

Based on a new law, voters will now be able to register and vote on the same day if the voter registration deadline has passed.  The 2022 General Election will be the first election in Virginia where this is allowed. More details on this process will be released this fall.
